G3 Motors Delearship at Nerul mentioned that Mahindra Automotives company has mandated that anyone buying the XUV5OO has to buy Car Insurance from the dealership. They are not allowed to get insurance from outside. This is important as they are not allowing bookings on the car. It is worthwhile to note that the insurance premium for the value of the car is much higher than the one available from outside. This was a big setback for me as I was not allowed to book the car. Also tried reaching the Customer Care and they did not have answers on the Insurance front.
Lastly, the G3 Motors dealership has remained non-commital on the delivery date of the car and have kept it open ended. There is a big queue on the test drive too and no specific timings are provided either or followups.
