I too surveyed a lot of SUVs (or MUVs) including the GM's Tavera and finally settled on Scorpio. I booked my vehicle on 22-Apr-2004 @ India Garage and at that time the saleswoman and the manager were very sweet-talking. They promised the vehicle in 3 weeks and at most within 4-5 weeks. It is running into more than 8 weeks now and every time I get a vague reply. ''There is a go-slow strike in the Mahindra plant'', ''Vehicle is expected to be delivered next week'', etc. etc.
When I booked there were supposedly 16 people ahead of me. Is M&M really not able to deliver atleast two vehicles to this particular dealer?
My initial enthusiasm and eagerness is dying. Dont whether I should be blaming the dealer or the manufacturer...
Are there other people waiting for such long periods for thi vehicle? Atleast I havent read about anything being wrong at M&M's plant in Nashik. I really cannot fathom or explain this delay in getting the vehicle.
