Macromedia Director is a popular Video Authoring Software. It can run on both Windows and Mac operating system with a minimum Ram of 128 MB. By using this software you can animate like flash, give special effects, can develop professional level games etc. Though you can animate as you are doing in flash, its processing of doing is different.
