I gave my laptop IdeaPad S145 to Pretham Computer Solutions in Bangalore. It was a small problem with the circuit. but the technician kept for a day without touching & next day when I called he quoted Rs.4850 to charge the Video card IC circuit, which was never the issue. It wasn't turning on at all, the power light was blinking though. I denied it and asked him to give it back.
The next day I called him asking what time he will deliver. Later, he said that the part he had removed, if he places it back the motherboard will be destroyed and I won't be able to repair it anywhere else. He asked me to pay 4500 to get it in working condition. He knows that I won't be able to go here and there asking for a technician during the lockdown.
In another instance, my friend staying in the opposite flat booked plumper. The person broke the pipe for fixing the leakage, then demanded to pay for a new pipe. He never showed a proper bill charged double the amount than MRP.

In addition to this, the app showed 200 service charge, but the repair guy demanded 450 for not doing anything. The laptop repair guys on this app take advantage of lockdown and movement of restrictions to overcharge people. When I denied it, he replaced RAM with a faulty one."
