I own a LG Microwave oven that's about five years old and a LG refrigerator that's about 13 months old. Recently the refrigerator stopped functioning (cooling) and the Microwave Oven's "convection" function wasnt working and I registered a complaint. I was given a reference number and received an sms saying that I would get a response in 24 hours.
I got a call from the microwave technician after two days . He checked the Oven and stated that they would have a replace a part and that he would get back to replace it. However, LG sent a technician to repair the refrigerator only after about 7 days and that too after repeated follow up calls. I am surprised as to how a small metal pipe that supplies chilled air to the refrigerator got rusted in just 13 months of purchase. Obviously LG has been using poor quality spares.
As for the Microwave Oven , its been 20 days since I gave a compliant. I have also followed up with the Customer Service Center but I am still waiting for someone to replace the faulty part. I have been assured that they would send someone. It looks like there is a disconnect between the Service center and LG customer service and hence they would not be able to actively monitor complaints and achieve a closure.
Dear folks, please be cautious of LG's Poor After sales Service.
