On top of the world. Review on Lakme Nail Makeup

Every once in a while there comes along a time where you just get overtaken by the punk trend and I was riding on one such wave when I suddenly and seriously wanted blue nail paint, not just any blue...Royal Blue(I must sound really nuts but maybe then again at that time I was). So in my quest for Royal Blue polish to put on my sorry excuses for nails I scrounged every store in Mumbai. I even went to those really cheap shops on Colaba Causeway which sell imitations of everything from clothes to bottle caps and then WHAM right in the centre of the ground floor of Shoppers Stop I see it!! The beautiful blue that I coveted for eternity (well almost!!)on the Lakme counter.

There lay BANISH BLUES, the Royal Blue of my dreams. I snapped it up and since then there has been no looking back for the two of us(i. e. Banish Blues and me!!).The sheer texture of the liquid in the bottle assured me that I was holding a winner. I remember the first glide of that brush on my nails like yesterday, after a two coat application I had what I could call the punkiest nails in the history of punk nail care. Even after a couple of weeks when I was shaken to my senses about having punk nails, the nail polish held on strong without chipping. The colour didn't fade. I was in nail heaven!

And I have a pretty messy routine, between running to and from college and cutting potatoes for my Aunt Shazneen's Biryani they still clung on, giving me each time, a glossy finish. And I may have been obsessing about blue too much but there is an alarmingly large variety of shades ranging from night wear to everyday wear. So anyone from Shalini Aunty from the third floor who makes idlis to your sister Samantha who parties all night with a pimple faced boyfriend can buy this product..Actually coming form one of the worlds leading cosmetic companies one cannot expect less..and more!! And wearing Lakme nail polish gives me confidence enough to give that hot guy who I see around college a sultry wave with my bewitching nails...that's when I truly feel ''on top of the world''!
