Goddess Mahalakshmi is our Kuldevta, so atleast once a year we try to go to Kolhapur.
Right from Childhood till now Kolhapur still looks same, I mean the people are same. The people still don't hesitate to speak in marathi (In pune and mumbai it seems some people are ashamed to speak in marathi). The climate is good, sometimes its hot, but then in kolhapur we get the Best Icecream, since Milk is in abundance, the quality is good.
We Normally travel as per convinience, so I have been to kolhapur almost all seasons. I found summer little bit hotter, winters are not that cold.
I am pure veg, so I like Gokul & Subraya restaurant, would like to try some more Veg hotels next time
This trip is recommended to all, if you are Senior citizen or travelling with family, you can visit places like Mahalkshmi Temple, which is very beautiful, best time for senior citizens is after 4.

Atleast once everybody should go to Kolhapur.
