I bought this kodak camera v 570 ( Worlds first Dual lens digital camera ) in oct 2006 for Rs 14000. I was very happy after buying it as I was reading about it a lot . It was working fine , pictures were also very good, clear .everything was fine till the day accidentally I dropped it.
Finished ! One of its lens started taking blurred pictures , though the other lens was fine. I approached the sole service centea in India for kodak , Rashi perpherala in Delhi, first they said that it is out of warranty and you have to pay Rs 750 to see what is the matter and then repairing charges aer extra .I agreed to it and then I got a call from them after 1 week saying that sir one of its lens is not working propely and Kodak India doesnt have stock of it as it is discontinued model ! , I got a shock of my life .
I asked then what should I do , should I throw it in dustbin! then they said no you can do one thing you can buy another Kodak camera and we will deduct 30% of the value and yiu will get a new camera within a mth.Now that pained me a lot , means I have to spend another 15000 to get Only Rs4500 back and whats the guarantee that that model may also get discontinued ? I think digital cameras are unrepairable esp when lenses are concerned , if once i have suferred the 2nd time also I should suffer who is gonna take that . so my dear friedns please be aware of Kodak cameras. I think sony, canon, nikon are better. please comment .
