My First digital camera. It was gifted to me. The camera is small and handy ( but doesnt come with a carry case). It is good for Amateurs ( but only for Amateurs !!).

The camera doesnt have much in terms of options and features and with a 32 MB in built memory hardly any storage space ( exp at hi-res). 3.2 MP so pretty ok for first time users. In India the price is somewhere around the 6k range so price wise its fairly OK.

The major issues i've had with it is that its power hungry. DOnt even think of using it with normal cells ...it wont even boot most of the time ( even with a brand new battey).

You will have to buy a NiCd rechargable battery or your costs will be prohibitive.

The accompaning software is a bit heavy and will slow ur mc down. If you have XP avoid installing it as XP will download the pics just as well.

For a longer trip a Flash Card is a must ( at least 128MB). ALso the flash is good only for indoor photography.

A good camera if you want to take family indoor snaps ...for any thing else look for something better!
