During my visit to goa 3 years back, in the month of December, I had booked kismat mahal for 4 nights. It is located just walking distance from Calagungute beach.
Believe me, this is one of the best hotels, considering the price you pay for getting a really good value, in terms of quality of room, pleasant hotel staff, closeness of hotel to calangute beach, and amazing breakfast to start your day.
I had booked one non-ac room at mere 800 Rupees, after comparing the nearby hotel located near to calunghute and baga beach, which was on average 1500 to 2500 rupees with almost same value.
The staff there is less, but they are very honest and caring for their customers. At the time I stayed they have some good breakfast menu, I used to order the poridge and omlet, which was very delicious and I feel content before I start my day at beach or some nearby tour spot.
The hotel is away from main road by around 100 meters and hence you will find all the room very quite and peaceful, which is really important to have a relaxing sleep at night.
All in all I always recommend all my friends visiting to goa, to have experience at kismat mahal hotel.
