I went and saw this movie with friends yesterday.. and later read the reviews in few places; I'm amazed to see its been rated very highly!!!
First, let me admit I haven't seen the earlier ones, and I'm not too much of a fan of this genre of movies. I like romantic comedies and dramas; I did like LOTR, all of them!
Coming to this; as everyone said, 3 HOURS, phew isnt the movie tooooo loooong!. there are many occasions when you start feeling, when is this thing getting over?
Storywise, some aspects of it are bollywoodish; does get few laughs out when you try to compare and contrast it with bollywood movies!
Special effects are good for most of the part, but it does get boring after a while. Storytelling by the director - slow? wished it was made a little faster, and need not have been dragged for so long.
Movie has it's moments, but only a few.
Overall - an OK movie to watch if you like this genre, but be ready to sit for 3 hrs.
I would not watch it again if given a choice!!!
