If you are looking for an excellent beach close to Mumbai/Pune, you do not want to miss on this one.
Kashid is about 3 hours from Mumbai and 4 hours from Pune. The drive to Kashid from Alibag is picturesque. The winding road has small hills on one side while a fantastic view of sea on the other side.
Kashid beach is undoubtedly the best in Alibag area. I think it is comparable to likes of Baga, Goa and probably even Kovalam, Kerala.
The beach is still not very much crowded and spoiled till now. The entrance to beach is bit abrupt. At the entrance you have small shacks selling coconut water and other stuff.
There are no. of accomodation choices available including Kashid Beach Resort, Prakruti Resort offering good packages for stay and food. Non-veg lovers will enjoy the food in Kashid Beach Resort.
Plan for at least 2-3 days stay to enjoy the beach and attractions in the vicinity of the beach.
