''KANE & ABEL'' is my second book of Jeffrey Archer after 'SONS OF FORTUNE'. It can be mentioned outright that the former betters the latter both in content and quality.
KANE & ABEL follows the story of two characters KANE and ABEL who come into existence at the same time to this world. The story comprises of how these two cross each others paths and the consequences that follow.
Too much cannot be told about this novel since it would cause to reveal the plot however it lives up to the Jeffrey Archer standard of writing. SONS OF FORTUNE followed a more masala type story , however KANE & ABEL was more rich in content and kindled more interest. This can also be attributed to so many historical references that underline the proceedings of the novel.
I would surely recommend this novel but make sure you read KANE & ABEL before you touch SONS OF FORTUNE. Else there might occur several instances of deja'vu.
But once you read KANE & ABEL , SONS OF FORTUNE would not stand a chance.
