Presently Jaya is a multiplex in Lake Town and accordingly it has upgraded itself to a great deal. Most of the films are shown here from Hindi, Bengali and English but the price is still cheaper compared to bigger multiplexes in Kolkata.
For people living in Lake Town, like me, it is a great feel. My parents are regularly able to enjoy movies without any problem, being elderly. For people coming from afar, parking option is also there, I have seen. Food options are also available within the multiplex complex and also outside, but definitely it is cheaper outside. Hawkers come at intervals with chips, popcorn, coffee, cold drinks, etc.
The crowd is also better now. I am able to enjoy all movies here, when I go only with my husband, or my friends, or cousins or with my elders without any trouble. Keep a lookout for discounts from online booking sites and you can show the tickets before the premier from your mobile itself.
