A wonderful and satisfying experience. Review on Jagannath Temple, Puri

THIS REVIEW IS MORE ABOUT A HUMBLE, FRIENDLY AND REASONABLE TAXI DRIVER NAMED GAGAN.

Our family, a group of four people went to visit primarily Puri Jagannath Temple from february 11 to 13, 2019. It was a wonderful experience, especially for my father and mother. We visited 3 places in two and a half days namely Jagannath temple in Puri, Sun Temple in Konark and The chilka Lake. Our journey was beautiful and satisfying personally for me because my parents were very happy as it was a hassle free trip. Very less sources of error. When we are with our parents or a group, The most worrisome thing is mode of transportation because every time you have to bargain with drivers for the price and public transport may be uncomfortable for them. This problem got sorted out due to a driver I read about on a review website. Someone had written very positively about the experience with him. His name is Gagan(9777553383). So, I took a leap of faith and booked his taxi for 2 days and a night. To my surprise, he charged us fairly less compared to other online sources or package deals. He was very humble and polite from the beginning. He waited for us at the Bhubaneswar railway station for more than 4 hours at night without uttering a word as our train was late due to a problem in tracks. He was very cooperative. He had assured us on phone that he won't let us face any problem. He never made us wait. He didn't have any habits like chewing paan or khaini or any such thing( I don't consider anything bad about someone's personal habits but cleanliness matters when you are with family). He provided us with a Panda at the Temple who helped us with hassle free Darshan and unnecessary confrontations with other greedy Pandas. We gave the panda a nominal donation of 200 rupee and he was happy. I suggest everyone in a group or with family to hire a panda when visiting the temple. Give him 200 bucks and everything will be smooth.

Then, finally on the last day, when the driver was left us at the hotel, My father was so overwhelmed and satisfied with the tour experience that he gave him extra 300 rupees as tip apart from the booking amount. This driver had a large role in making our trip fruitful. I would recommend everyone to try this taxi driver( Gagan). HE DESERVES THIS REVIEW. It was the least I could do.

Now, Moving on, You must visit Chilka lake as it is nearby and you can rent a boat for 700-800 per head for about 4 hours. Its a mini sea. You can feed the large flocks of migratory birds circling around you. Its serene and relaxing.
