Every time I plan a trip to my hometown Chennai from Bangalore and book a ticket online, I always end up having a ticket numbering separated either by seats or by bays between me and my wife. I have to start doing a dirty job by requesting other people to swap seats.. A lot of people have been generous to provide them but obviously it doesn't is good given the fact they would have just got comfy on their seats. Why cant railways ( if at all money is the criteria ) put a premium for seat selection. I don't trust they can build in any intelligence as they have been trying to do this for long.

The best they could do is to outsource this to someone who can manage it developed better with all user interface. There are limitations to every company and that's why companies outsource for expertise and that should be selected taking into all aspects.

I have written a lot of letters, emails and haven't even got a single response on these stuff. So the only thing that we are left with is for that so called intelligent software to assign the numbers based on some forbidden algorithm. This time in AC Chair car, I am going to sit on seat number 33 and my pregnant wife on 29 which is one row ahead of mine. There I am going to start running around asking people. If you happen to travel in one of those trains, please help me in providing your seat.

Note : I have given the recommendation as Yes as there is NO option.
