I am regular user of this web site because my job is tourable. For me it is veryuseful. it gives me accurate information of trains, availability of seats, fare etc. Currently it also provides facility of fooding at several stations based on their routes.
IRCTC stands for Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation basically it's a website where we book train ticket, but me and my friend call it online luck by chance system because only few selected will be able to get a confirmed ticket and those person will be a clear winner.
Now a days some improvement were done that AC classes reservation is apart from sleeper class reservation. so load on website becomes low that it runs smoothly.
The fundamental issue to the problem is capacity(number of seats available in the trains) not able to meet the demand(millions of reservations). Unless the fundamental issue is solved by effective planning and execution by Indian Railways over long time, the frustration with online reservation portal https://irctc.co.in can never be resolved. But knowing the fact that in long term, we are all dead, what is it government can do in short term to alleviate the citizen’s concerns?
Overall it is a good website, but needs improvement!
