Today I want to share my experience of IRCTC website with you. Firstly, I will prefer using paytm for railway ticket booking rather than IRCTC.
The main reason is payment failure. Last week I tried to book a ticket from H.Nizamuddin to Jhansi at around 11 PM. I made the payment to book the ticket through paytm wallet by logging into the wallet. The payment got failed and the amount got deducted. However, The money has been refunded to my paytm wallet but there is now the problem of seat availability. Now the seat was not available on that train. So like one my money had not used.And this happens with the website usually.
Now I tried to book the ticket from paytm app using IRCTC credentials. Here I booked the ticket for an another date without any extra fees. And booked ticket successfully. So I wanna say that prefer using paytm app to book the ticket instead of IRCTC.
Also if you make payment directly on IRCTC website there is chances that your payment will be failed and until you contact to the customer care your money will not be refunded.
