A few months ago, I traveled to Goa with Indigo Airlines. Previously, I have had very bad experiences with domestic airlines and was skeptical to travel with Indigo but other option was SpiceJet and I would settle for anything but SpiceJet.
It was an 8am flight and I was there at the airport at 7am. I was wondering whether I was late but as expected the flight was delayed by 1 hour, after one hour, we were told it will take another 45 mins. I was already quite late and irritated because of the lack of sleep and was about to pick a fight when, they announced the flight was ready to board.
Whilst on the plane, it wasn't so bad. The flight was smooth without any turbulence and the staff was fairly decent.
I would recommend Indigo but if you have schedule planned, opt for some other airlines.
