My company made the mistake of taking up Indiamart membership for a "contract" period of six months with initial amount of 5000 and monthly charge of 2000. It was never of much use and the sales leads were mostly small fry which was not really worth the listing effort and price.
Unfortunately, the "head" of the company in his "wise"dom, gave them Auto-debit facility which was supposed to stop automatically after contract termination.
As it was of no use to us, we sent them an email with 2 months notice period to discontinue after 6 months, . nothing happened. The debits kept happening.
Our bank initially refused to accept a stop payment saying the Auto-debit should terminate automatically after the contract period. this got dragged along for 9 months and the auto debits of 2000 pm went on like clockwork.
We tried calling their customer service who are master at diverting attention and providing assurances. Finally our bank accepted the closure order.but next month again auto debit of 2K. After this, I just had to give this review. We are still trying to get out of Indiamart's clutches.
