I didn't used idea before and I didn't needed to use it as the network in my area of other service providers was really good.I used it because when I was in hostel the only strong network provider was Idea so I bought one sim.
The signal was really good no complaints about that I could talk without getting up from the bed.
The problem was with this was that I recharged my phone with 250 rupees amount as it was my starting year and starting days of hostel .i was ok with services of idea with Internet and calling but then those annoying pop ups of idea started to come up.This offer and that offer ibwas not interested in .
I was once using facebook and then all of a sudden an idea dialogue box came and I happened to use like a post at the same time and all of sudden I didn't read it properly and I hit ok.Not realising what the offer was I got an sms that 50 rupees have been deducted for ringtones .Why the hell do I need ringtones in today's time.
I got the amount deducted and all these random pop ups was really annoying as you may not know when you hit ok and you get wiped with No amount left.
I still use it but I hate these things and unfair way to get your money .Really bad and I personally never recommend using idea.
