I was about to buy Idea Net Setter. But then thought of getting its reviews. Most of the mouthshut members were very critical of it.
I asked the Idea Salesman about the wireless internet service. He praised Idea like anything as if it is the best. He also said that it is GPRS and EDGE enabled. When I asked him the full forms he was blank. I asked for a demo at my home. He hesitated but agreed later.
The demo was like what others had said - PATHETIC. Even a simple site like Google was taking 5 mins to open forget other heavy sites.
I tried to download some mp3, but the pages didn't even open. The salesman was confused. He tried to justify, said the server was down. But these are lame duck excuses and I didn't buy that.Thanks to the mouthshut members, I was spared of that pathetic Idea and spending 2500 bucks.
Sometimes I think these mobile companies are making a fool out of consumers. People who didn't understand the technical terms become easy targets for these cunning salesmen.A disappointing service from one of the well respected business groups of India.
