I took an Idea connection last year in May. The 1st bill which I got was really shocked me. It was way over my usage and expectations. On calling and enquiring, I was informed that I was charged more than 1000 bucks for special number. I had to explain n number of times that I never asked for a special number.
I was given a list of numbers and chose one. Eventually, the extra charges were removed. I took the 3G connection as well which was giving network issues on and off. In the month of September, it was almost impossible to access internet with 3G. Every 20 mins the network would go away and if I am in the middle of downloading anything, I had to start all over again.
I raised several complaints with them. Every time my complaint was closed without my acknowledgement. I also work in service industry and understand very well that a customer complaint cannot be closed without customer acknowledgement. Well, I do not know if Idea follows any service level agreements. Eventually, when I was fed up I asked them to either resolve my issue or disconnect my 3G plan.
They did neither. I got the bill with all the charges included. I asked them to remove the 3G charges, the service I was not satisfied with. They asked me to pay the bill after removing the 3G charges and promised it would be adjusted in next bill. It was not adjusted in next bill as well. ON giving them a call, the reply was same again. I told that it is not a permanent solution. Every time, you guys tell me the same thing to make partial payment and that it will be adjusted next month which never happens.
I asked them to send me the revised bill. That never happened and they sent me the next bill with late payment charges. That was really heights of checking one's patience. I had multiple follow ups with them. I wanted to speak to their supervisor for which I was made to hold the line for 30 mins at 11:00 pm and even after that I could not speak to him. Rather, they disconnected the call. Next day, their supervisor asked me to pay the partial bill and that the amount would be adjusted and I will be sent a revised bill.
Again, that never happened. On enquiring, I was told nobody ever promised. I asked them to bring out all the audios to hear to the conversation and promised which they record during calls. I was told they have some issues and cannot play the audios. When they heard, I am ready to wait they told that they have heard the audios and their was no such promise.
I wanted to speak to their higher management. They did not allow me to and told they themselves will take up it with them. 4 months since then and I have never heard from them. Worst customer care and a bunch of liars.
