I am using ICICI direct for more than 2years with "ok" satisfaction.But recently I just started using "options". One day I am about to write a options call. But I realized that the stock(suzlon) for which I am about to write a call is removed from options. Just before 2/3 days I was able to write/sell positions on the same stock. But after 2 days they removed that stock from the list. Because of that I lost my money as I planned to write a covered call on that stock.
When I asked the Care they said that "our risk mgmt team decided this" and they told stocks will be enabled and disabled on daily basis on some factors. That means u cant have some strategy on a specific stock and proceed, bcz ICICI direct may not allow u to trade on that stock at any time.This is really pathetic as ur strategies can fail at any time and incur money loss.
More than that these are the -ves:
1) The website keep on ask you to re-login and reports invalid user when u try to sell/buy.This can happen with in 10sec u logged also.
2)Easy mail CCare is use less.
3)Ofcourse high brokerage.
Few good points are:
1)site response is above average.
2)low bandwidth site.
3)Okay for simple buy and sell transactions for non frequent usage.
