I hold account in ICICIbank and ICICIdirect for past 10 years. I could feel ICICI customer service had gone from bad to worst in past couple of years.


Recently my demat account was blocked for reason unkown. I called customer service number to find out the reason for my account deactivation, no one had any clue why it was blocked. After several calls and several escalation I was able to find that "My documents were lost during Mumbai flood and I am suppose to fill new forms(KYC) and resubmit it"(Only in our country these things can happen and no one files case against ICICI for not maintaining customer records).


Now I submitted the KYC documents and calling on day to day basis(customer service, every branch where my papers are moving and all sorts of manager when I need escalation) now 45 days have passed and every time I call they take a complaint and they promise to get back in 2 day which never happens.


As a final escalation as per website I sent mail to coo@icicidirect.com and got reply after 5 day and the content was "will get back to you in 2 working days"


Now I finally decided to close all my dealings with ICICI and open account in some Nationalized bank so I aleast know that my money is safe and customer service will be equal to ICICI or better:)


one good advice for all of you reading: KEEP AWAY FROM ICICI.
