It has been about two and half months since owning the Getz GLS. Before this I was driving the Maruti 800 in the city of Bangalore. It was a big jump forward in terms of comfort, driving and feel. I had test driven Swift and flair before deciding on Getz. Build quality in Getz appeared good compared to the other two. The flair interior resembled my old fiesta that I had in UK. I think the flair interior is left over of old fiesta model in Europe. It is too early to comment on reliability as I have done only 1300kms. The car starts promptly every morning with the first turn of the key. It handles the uneven surfaces and the speed humps well. Braking is good. Sound levels are minimal inside the cabin even though I feel the engine noise outside the cabin could have been more pleasant/sweet. It sounds a bit harsh. Engine pulling without the AC is good but with the AC on at times it feels underpowered. However I think all cars of this engine size will face similar problems. AC is satisfactory. Gear changing is good except when changing from 1st to 2nd when I experience some resistance and I need to be slow. Getting in and out of the car is easy. The relatively high seating is comfortable to get in out of the car but driving experience and visibility is compromised. Mileage is below average I think as it gives me 10km to a litre in City with AC intermittently on. Finish is good and the car looks pleasing from the side and back.
