Diagonally, those numbers are misleading because they refer to analog vacuum tube diameters on those sensors are based. The exact diagonal dimension of a given sensor is about 2 / 3rds of the given diameter. It's also true for 1 / 2.3 , 1 / 2.5 and small sensors found in compact cameras and camcorders. Those damn numbers are misleading. It's better to use exact horizontal and vertical dimensions, but even l cannt all those years after all . Anyway, Huawei sensor is a smartphone for a lot camera
