It become costly because everytime when the cartridge empty. you have to purchase new set of cartridge which is so costly. that's the only reason. even the speed of printer is good to use. the quality of prints is also good. hp printers are best in quality and service. it always try to make their customers happy. but this printer can not be managed by the common person if he wish to use a3 printer.
