I bought this printer in 1998 and I have been ruing my decision ever since. This printer isnt availble in market ever since but it convinced me never to buy a HP product again. Here's some things about the printer.
Price:- it was priced at the low end of the market at the time I bought it... it was priced at Rs 5500/- which seemd to be a good buy but the experiences I suffered at the hand of this printer made me repent.
Features:- OK features for a normal home user. It can print in 3 modes , Best, Normal and Econofast. Using the econofast mode gives more life for cartridgee but least quality and so on ....... It does give ok color photographs and the balck and white prints are also OK.
As seen above, the printer seems OK on the first look .... but the speed is pathetic .... and the printer started making lots of noices after only 2 months. The dealer said must be due to dust going inside the printer.
And only some time later printer started giving paper jams every 2-3 prints. I even got the printer serviced from the New Delhi service centre but to no avail. As a result the printer is useless for me now as I cannot take out any decent printouts without wasting 2-3 sheets of paper.
I dont recommend HP printers to anyone
