Hotel Mountview is the first 5 star hotel of the Chandigarh. It is managed by a govement department CITCO, which is reponsible for Chandigarh's tourism as well. Being a govt. hotel and that too right under tourism department gives the hotel and the visiter a benifit.
Room Quality: The room quality is just something you can't complaint about. It has a variety of room option available according to the need or budget. It has everything from business room to Royal Suite. the room prices varies from around Rs 6000 - 16000, May go higher and lower depending on the season. THe rooms are all well managed. The moment you enter the room you get pleasent smell and interior of the room just brings a smile to your face. the beds are nice and comfortable and all you want is to never leave the room.
Guest services: The guest services are also good. You will get everything in you room. I didn't require to call more than once for anything I need. It has got swimming pool if you love swimming, open garden cafe, A vintage bar for classic experience. All add upto give you best in class 5 Star experience.
Food and presentation: food is of this place is also good and tasty. You can also ask if you want some more gravy in the dish, or want it more spicy or less oily etc. The cooks of hotel are well trained and experienced so the food they make also comes out to be very tasty.
Ambience: this is the only department which leds us a little down.Now here I am not talking about the interior of hotel or the garden area of the hotel, that is all top notch but I am talking about the exterior enviorment of the hotel. You see Chandigarh is a Very beautiful and planned city when you compare it to other cities of India and most of the places here are well managed and beautiful including the Sector 10 which is where the hotel is located. But the problem is that Hotel is built in front of the sector 10 Market, that makes the place around the Hotel a little bit cozy and crowded. Also the hotel is a little inside the city sector Not on the side of main road or highway.
Value for money: Remember the benifit that the visitor gets by being in a govt. 5 star hotel comes here. Yes The prices compared to other esteemed private Hotels are low on pocket and the experience you get here is very much pleasing and doesn't diappoint you at all.
