TO HELP YOU OUT IN MID SEGMENT. Review on Honda City ZX VTEC

INDIA is fastly geting crowded with the the launch of new international cars in almost every couple of months . The audis , BMWs , lamborghini ,all is here . Coming to the little crowded market with a bunch of cars in mid segment like hyundai accent , ford fiesta , chevy aveo ,Honda city etc . I think if you are intelligent enough than ford fiesta and honda city should be the final competitor in your mind.

BUTagain fiesta has 3 variants 1.4 , 1.6 duratec petrol & 1.4 tdci diesel and similarly aveo also has two variants 1.4 , 1.6 petrol only. Actually I think that this segment should itself be divided into 3 subsegments including the diesel option which comprises TATA indigo , accent crdi and fiesta diesel .

THEupper c segment clears the way for honda city zx exi,gxi&vtec.Than below this segment we should give place to fiesta 1.6 petrol,1.4 diesel,and aveo 1.6 and accent crdi.

THEN BELOWof this segment we have indigo , esteem ,accent ,ikon .

THE CLEAR WINNER ACCORDING TO THE SURVEY CONDUCTED BY ME PERSONALLY IS HONDA CITY . IF you can shell out few thousands more or may be a lakh more and does not care about fuel economy much than city vtec should be your final choice ,no doubt about it.IF YOU WANT A DECENT ECONOMY than city gxi should be your last AND FINAL CHOICE..

Though I agree that city gxi does lacks in its power(77ps) but driving in a crowded place is as easy as relaxing ,The steering is so futuristic.It do help in cornering & making cuts at high speeds if you are a speed freak like me.

SECOND PLACE GOES TO FIESTA 1.6 PETROL AND 1.4 DIESEL.You can get all the features of city zx vtec in 1.6 petrol in terms of power (104 ps), alloys , interiors for a lakh less as compared to city zx vtec

IFyou are looking for a diesel option than go for fiesta 1.4 duratorque tdci. It is a bit expensive ,8 lakhs on road delhi .But you can bargain 20 to 25 thousand if you try ,as I did and succeeded. The car is really well refined as I enjoyed much while driving in it than driving the skoda diesel.

CHEVY AVEOfailed to impress me I dont know why ! may be because its interiors are not so well refined . The engine is good , space is also good but we cannot compare it to the refinement of honda city.It has a urban look but didnt have that big car feel .

WITH THIS SHORT INFORMATION I THINK I HAVE MANAGED TO CLEAR SOME CONFUSION.
