It is one and half years since I purchased an Activa and enough experience to pen down a review. I bought this vehicle primarily for my domestic constituency and since we needed a scooter with more power than the scooty.
FOR :
1.Good power for a gearless scooter
2.Smooth vibration free engine
3.Stress free riding
4.Puncture resistant tyres
AGAINST:
1.Very Poor headlight illumination on road. Unless the road area is pitch dark, you cannot see the road(read pothole) in low beam. High beam focus is parallel to ground even when the headlamp screw is adjusted to maximum dip.
You dont get confidence in Cornering.
Lacks straight line stability
Not suitable for rough roads as the front suspension dives
This vehicle has become popular for 2 reasons, one for the Honda name and the other because there was no other quality competition other than the Scooty Pep. But with Baja Wave coming in I guess competition should be ON.
You can buy Activa only in case your riding is restricted to good tarmac roads.
