Dear friends my family and I, have been regulars at Holiday Village after we fell in love with the place, its fabulous ambience and fantastic food. It greatly pained me to read a very biased review written very recently totally against this fabulous place, and I realize how disheartening it must be for the management & promoters to read such a review especially when they leave no stone unturned to satisfy every guest who visits there.
I feel I should clarify a few points in reply to the earlier review based on my experiences at Holiday Village
The Resort has an expanse of well maintained greenery, a Swimming Pool which is a visual delight, Very Courteous Staff, and above all the food which is far far superior when compared to any other Resort or even star rated hotel and standing testimony to this are the huge Crowds that this place draws and it being difficult to get a table without prior reservation on weekends in spite of their restaurant being close to a 300 seater.
They have geese, rabbits running around and if the earlier reviewer was very disturbed by a cat around, there are my kids who love them and the other pets too, running around with them while me & my Husband dine.
The issue of credit cards being not accepted is totally untrue as we always have been paying by credit & debit cards, however I remember when I lead my team at Oracle here for a day outing I was told that if the bill exceeds 10000/oo we would be charged 2% extra, fair enough and it’s a management decision, which is to suit their needs of fund flow I guess, (KFC does not accept credit cards at all, & aren’t they in today’s times.) Secondly, You can not expect lavish spread when you don’t want to pay for one, meaning if a guest is dissatisfied with the buffet spread, it is because he has not paid for a lavish spread, as the menu for every party, I understand will always be approved by the host.
I took the comments a little seriously because (with due respects to the earlier reviewer) I felt when a organization is making a genuine effort in their respective field, one adverse review can drastically affect their business.
I personally feel Holiday Village is the most rocking place South Bangalore has and all the team events we have had there from E serve (Citibank) where I worked earlier or Oracle or our family overnighter have got rave reviews every time. They have probably the best Discotheque in the whole of Bangalore, food is consistently out of this world (They make it a point to have a live tandoor to serve hot rotis for even a party of 20pax, if they were not inclined towards total guest satisfaction they obviously would not be doing it, even a 5 star serves cold roitis after charging you a bomb) and I find the ambience at night at Hoiday Village betters on every visit.
Guys Cheer up you are definitely VERY GOOD and a serious word of advise to Corporates, families, kids this is definitely the way to head for Parties of any kind, and be sure you will not be disappointed. I never have been in the past 5 years.
