Hindware pressmatic
Am wondering if Hindware is actually Chinaware. I have 8 of these auto closing taps from Hindware. 2 of them have been installed a few years ago and just recently bought a second lot for our preschool (so we do not waste water with open taps). Within days of installing and commissioning our new facility we found out these taps are not what we expected. Some close too soon before the soap washes out, and some will not close even after a minute. The service tech could not fix it, went back and reported that it is a plumber issue!
I reopened the complaint with Hindware and the senior tech says we have NO (zero) warranty for commercial installation! The warranty card claims to give 10years. Wait! Who is making up the rules here? Hindware, never again for me.
Also the older model had 1 year warranty and now it leaks from the top of the spindle where it screws on to the body. Seemingly the rubber washer is worn out. The service tech advises a 950/- replacement of the screw-on spindle. Now you decide hindware or not. I’d say spend your money elsewhere or buy a cheaper product (about Rs600-900/-) you can replace every few years.
