I have an HDFC Tax plan 2000, now called Long Term Advantage fund, and its been a clear outperformer. I have also decided to go for the HDFC Cash management Fund -Savings plan as well. Infact, if you go to any of the MF rating sites you would find an HDFC fund in the top 5 in almost every category.
The beauty of this fund-house is that it does not fear to invest in unconventional stocks which are promising. You would find a lot of stocks in the portfolio of HDFC funds which are not owned by any other fund house. The service is trouble free as well. I got my transaction statement by post within 3 days of applying for the fund. Pretty clean fund, donot expect regular dividend-stripping opportunities like Reliance. The fund-house has recently enable SIP, SWP and STP on all its plans.. another plus. Basically, this is a safe place to park your money.
