Customer Service:

Hdfc has recently started a service called NETSAFE and this is to warn everyone not to get caught in their con game.

The idea is to create a e-card which has a one time use and if it is not used in 48 hours ,it will be cancelled and the money will revert back to the client.

This is what it is all about -

NetSafe will enable HDFC Bank cardholders realise the full value of their debit and credit cards, even on the internet. Possibly, this could just be the catalyst (sic!) that was needed for the much-awaited explosion of e-commerce in India

Simple !! Not really !

This is what really happens - you use the card and no website accepts it . You have no choice but to cancel it and the bank does not pay you back for next 30 days !!

They will non chalantly pocket hte interest on your money lying in their bank.

In case it is not cancelled the card will remain open for next 30 days and can be hacked / used over the net.

Be very cautious !!
