I have faced a lot of challenges while using HDFC ATM.
They still use old ATM which takes you card in the machine, I do not find this feature useful.
Many a times we are in hurry or we are so used to the other ATMs where you just need to swipe your card, that you forget that the machine has taken you card in and leave without it. Finally when you reach home you realize that the card was left at ATM but then its too late. The you have to follow the long procedure of blocking the card applying for anew card etc. etc.
Secondly, the HDFC ATM in our area runs without backup, I once inserted my card and the power was gone, and my card inside it.The ATM feasted on my card and I had to apply for a new card.
Hence its a suggestion that we start using new swipe ATM s.
HDFC should bring in the new ATM which works on swipe mechanism.
