Hathway Broadband works on its own terms.Till it is working smoothly you are lucky but when it goes out of service you can't determine when it will start working again. Customer service is the worst one can imagine. There is a long wait till the representative pick the call and then standard reply of hold we check the issue. Then they will tell there is a technical issue which will be rectified in 24 hours. Sometimes they give strange solutions like clean history, cache or your modem is at fault.
Can't rely on them especially when they say it will be operational within 2-3 hours. Generally speed is good. Their technician showed up once by then it started working on its own and he seemed unsure what's the real problem. Finally, he told that it is a signal problem and there would not be such issues anymore.
Positives:
Speed is generally good.
Negatives:
Worst customer service one can imagine.
You can not know when it will start again once there is connectivity issue.(though I never faced disconnection for more than 48 hours)
Price structure is similar to existing competitors, no incentive cost wise.
New entrants like Tikona are providing better plans.
