I bought a Haier refrigerator about 6 months ago, hoping it would be a reliable appliance for my home. Unfortunately, my experience has been anything but satisfactory.
First off, the cooling performance is inconsistent. Sometimes the fridge section is too cold, freezing my vegetables, while the freezer doesn’t always freeze properly. I had to throw away a batch of meat because it partially thawed and then refroze – totally unsafe.
The build quality also leaves much to be desired. The plastic drawers inside feel flimsy, and one of them cracked within two months of use. For a brand that markets itself as “premium, ” this kind of quality is unacceptable.
Customer service was another huge letdown. I called multiple times to report the issues, and each time I was transferred around and told someone would get back to me. It took over three weeks for a technician to finally show up – and all he did was adjust the temperature and leave, which didn’t solve the core problem.
Another annoyance is the noise. It’s louder than expected for a modern appliance. Sometimes it makes a strange humming or clicking sound that’s hard to ignore, especially at night.
Honestly, I regret this purchase. For the same price, there are other more reliable and better-reviewed brands out there. Save yourself the trouble and avoid Haier.
