This movie is actually a biography on a soldier named Desmond Doss who, despite of being a soldier ( a paramedic) he refuses to touch a gun. He faces many trials and problems and is given a hard time by his fllow colleagues and seargent but he just dont give in. More than half of this movie revolves around a war scene in which they fight against japanese and how Desmond doss tries to save a lot of injured soldiers on board. He spends a whole night on the hacksaw ridge alone just to retrieve the wounded soldiers and get them back to safety using his skills and devotion. He followed his conscience from the begining and was able to mark history.This is an excellent movie and a representation of the main characters love and patriotism. And the best part is that all of it is based on a true story.
