Although Snajay Leela Bhansali, according to Wikipedia, is an alumnus of  the Film and Television Institute of India, it seems that he must have missed some of the most important lessons while completing his academic training there. Guzaarish, like most other Bhansali films, is more concerned about how it wants to be perceived rather than what it really wants to do.

By the way, if a party to a dispute can not be physically present at the court he is normally allowed to plea his case through his lawyers, the judiciary does not set up a court at your house for your convenience. This was just silly. Anyway, these elements serve no purpose other than diverting from what could have been a close and involving inspection of a serious subject like euthanasia. There really isn't much room, if any at all, to improve on what Alejandrom Amenabar created in Mar Adentro.

Apart from 2 songs the music is horrible. Particularly during the first half of the film the music is coarse and often grossly contrasts with the absorbing photography of the film.
