Great Learning employs'Dark patterns' tactics on its online platform to manipulate consumers. These patterns include creating a false sense of urgency, nagging and shaming, filling out detailed application forms to signify exclusivity in admissions, cancellation fees if you find the course worthless.
The courses are pre-recorded and can be played anytime with no intervention from the faculty, even though the course starts a few months from today the website will tell you that the last day of registration if 4 days from the current date, the company employs so called “industry experts” to guide you in sessions each week and the quality of these experts is not guaranteed and they are in no way related to the prestigious Ivy league institutions from which these courses are said to have been created by, exorbitant cancellation fees and no-refunds if you find the courses sub-par or useless, they will call your phone number incessantly at all times of day with no sense of time from India, if you ask them too many questions they will cancel your application and deem you as “unworthy” to pursue the self-proclaimed excellent course they have created.
