The book'GITANJALI' was published on august 19, 1910 by a bengali poet Rabrindranath Tagore . It is a collection of 157 poems and a collection of 103 english poems of Tagore's own english translations of his bengali poems first published on november 1912 by the indian society of london. The translation were often radical, leaving out a large chunks of the poem and in one instance fusing two seperate poems.
