Buddies there are some really simple ways to make ur lean machine at par with a New one! All you gotta do is this.
1) The Drive in which windows have been installed.(say C:) this drive should have As much of free space as possible.The best thing would be to make separate partitions nad leave 1 - 2 GB for Windows only. This will increase ur system performance.
2) Defragment your disks once a week. This will a speed booster in ur PC
3)If you have 64 MB RAM or Less, you should disable wallpaper, as it takes a lot of memory.
4) Try to keep minimum number of icons in your System tray.For this, you can disable most of them by clickin on thier Properties/settings. For rest like(scheduling agent) type MSCONFIG in the RUN or Command Prompt n uncheck the unneccesary progs.
PS: If you are not sure, Leave it as it is.
5)Last but not the least, Uninstall all the games/programs which you do not use very much.
Trust me buddy .u do this, n you'll have a new faster PC with out spending a BUCK!
