I came to the gateway of India in Mumbai on the new year night of 2018 . It was only 1 hour before that 2018 was going to begin . As soon as we started with the entrance, there was a high safety point over there . On that night, gateway of India was looking marvelous . The hotel Taj and the Oberoi Hotel was near it . You could have a perfect view of those 2 beautiful hotels . There was the Arabian sea behind the monument . There were inscription on the monument and it was supported with bright lights from all 4 sides . It was covered with a barrier to keep it preserved . As the clock struck 12am, everyone yelled happy new year and in everyone's amazement, there were fireworks on the top of hotel Taj . It was beautiful . I exited the area and went straight towards the station to catch up a train which was the last one so I didn't want to miss it . If you are planning to go to this destination, plan it as fast as you can .
