FreeRide is a website that I like very much because it's predictable yet unpredictable. One can gain points in a variety of ways, from the Magic Bus to shopping to searching the Net (twenty points maximum per day can be accumulated by searching the Net).
However, you do have to be aware that it is very hard to get enough points to ''cash out'' (for those who do not know what the term means, that's where you trade in some of your points for gift certificates or cash or whatever the site will let you have). The people who own this site have made it increasingly harder to obtain gift certificates and other things when it comes time to cash out, and, of course, they have shared the difficulty of many other websites in getting advertisers. (Advertisers are even more important for sites like Free Ride because they provide the bulk of the places for the surfer to click onto - their ad dollars provide the money which pays for the gift certificates and other things which FreeRiders earn routinely.)
