Forrest is cool. Review on Forrest Gump

Forrest Gump is a person with a relatively low IQ who goes on to experience all kinds of success in his life. story is all about Forrest gump and his buddies, his loving mom

and of course sweetheart Jenny!! This movie is a mix of emotional and humorous stuff.

FG is a below average child.This guy is amazingly naive and straightforward chap. He overcomes his handicap by sheer willpower. He becomes an excellent

sports person. He finds a place in American rugby team and meets US president.

Later on after completion of college he joins the US Army. Meanwhile Jenny chooses another path. She decides to live life freely like a hippie. She seeks solace in Drugs and Sex. She is a typical example of generation lost in Drugs and Sex.

While in army he gets a new friend Buboord aka bubba. This guy has a special liking for shrimps. FG is sent to Vietnam.. He meets Lieutenant Dan who he has a lot of respect for. Lieuenatn dan is a seasoned grunt.

Meanwhile there is a sudden attack from the snipers in Vietnam. Bubba gets killed.

Lt Dan loses his legs in the blast. Dan becomes very upset but Forrest supports him.

Since then Dan becomes very cynical and frustrated with life.

He believes that he ought to die in the war and didnt deserve the life of a cripple.

Dan is also envious of Forrest bcos he gets the medal of honour.

Meanwhile Forrest continuouly thinks of his love Jenny. So pityful!! Jenny doesnt really deserve the love of him. Jenny moves around with hippie gangs experimenting drugs and sleeping with strangers!!!

Cruel destiny doesnt let Forrest unite with Jenny before Jenny is infected with Virus(Aids).

Forrest learns Pingpong in hospital which he masters to such an extent that the US Army sends him to china to play friendship Ping pong games.

Later on his service in the army is over . He returns home and spends some time

with mom. Forrest then decides to keep the promise he had given to bubba .... ie to Own a shrimping boat. He really does go on to shrimping and after some unsuccessful period he becomes a shrimp business tycoon.

Meanwhile his mother passes away. This is a really heartbreaking part.

Forrest despite being dumb goes on and gets grant success in every area sports business and everything he does turns to

gold but He misses his darling Jenny!! Oh dear!!

The entire movie has a social and historical background of the 60 s. with famous nice soundtracks.

Tom Hanks is a great perfomance !! won him oscars !! Gary Sinese (Lt Dan) is fabulous.

Couldnt have been better!!
