I was a great fan of Flipkart and in past two years I ordered at least 40-50 books from them. I liked their COD option and their ability to get me foreign editions and rare books at reasonable price.


Well, nothing is permanently good. As Flipkart grew, I think its quality of service went down. Recently I got a delivery of a book with several pages missing in the middle. To me it looked like binding issue and typically these are reject copies from publisher - not to be sold.


I sent 2 mails to Customer Service so far and they did not even acknowledge my complaint - forget about acting on them.


Final realization: buy books from a store - you can check the item before you buy and if there is an issue, you can go there and sort things out.
