If only I had checked mouthshut.com before ordering from firstandsecond.com. While they claim to be ''India's biggest online book store'', this site is more like India's biggest scam.
If you've read some of the other reviews of this site, mine will sound a bit like a broken record - same experience as so many others. I ordered a single book from this site over a month ago. At that time, the book was listed as ''Generally dispatched in 3-5 days.'' My credit card was charged and processed immediately. Unfortunately, though, I have yet to see the book.
Disgruntled and concerned about all of the rotten reviews I'd stumbled across, I e-mailed their customer service. No response. A week later, I e-mailed again. Still, no response. I tried to use their LiveChat feature, but, not surprisingly, each time I'm given the message ''Sorry, no operators are available at the moment...''.
I was so happy to have found a site that had a decent selection of books and wouldn't cost an arm and a leg to ship internationally. If only I would have known my experience would be like this, I would have gladly paid the extra cost for shipping. And, I'd have had my book by now, too!
