I flew the Emirates recently to New york from Hyderabad via Dubai. Its been a pleasant experience.
Business class (like anyother airlines) is awesome. Economy class is much better than any other airlines. Though the leg space is cramped making it a bit uncomfortable, other things compensate for it.
Pros:
1) Its a real-value-for-money.
2) Convenience of daily flights to NY. Shortest flying time too
3) Lot of promotions associated with Biz class
4) ICE - Info, Communication and Entertainment channels. A bliss for all kinds of people including kids. (I never saw so many kids having so much fun in a plane, but kids cud get noisy at times)
5) The baggage time is much less and luggage is taken a lot of care
6) Very courteous cabin crew.
Cons:
1) Choice of food cant be reverted. So be careful when you give your choice of food while booking. In case something goes wrong, be prepared for going hungry.
2) Too cramped in economy. Longggggg wait to go to rest rooms
Well, the cons apply to all the airlines too. So its nothing particular with Emirates
